                                                              PROCESS

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique . which uses a special hand made katagami sheet to make a stencil for making the design . rice paste is passed through the holes of the stencil which acts as a resist .  Mulberry fiber is harvested from the tree and then mashed into pulp which is turned into a paste which is then skimmed with a screen, then dried into sheets.

                                                               Jirre

It's a process in which soybeans are soaked in water and then grinded to make a paste .
The paste is then squeezed and the water that is squeezed out is used for Jirre .
It helps to avoid spreading of the dye and helps in making the design sharp according to the stencils .
